If you've been over on our Instagram page recently, you will have seen that we have been releasing images of our completed Bonbeach project. This was whole house renovation, which also involved some reworking of the first floor floorplan. We worked with Tom and Karl from Hive Constructions to bring this renovation project to life and we are so happy with the way this amazing home has turned out.
BEFORE
The existing home was quite dated and didn't meet the needs of the clients. Being the client's forever home, they wanted to ensure that provisions were made for the future, including installing a lift between the two floors. This prompted a number of changes to the kitchen, powder and ensuite upstairs to make it all work. We also needed to update the ground floor bathroom so that all the wet areas had a cohesive design.
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
The client had a very good idea of what they liked from the start and we were able to come to an approved floorplan and concept quite quickly. Drawing on the client's existing furniture and personal style, we selected finishes and fixtures that have interesting nature-inspired textures, colours and patterns. Polytec Notaio Walnut was used throughout all joinery to add warmth and texture to the spaces. This was paired with Quantum Quartz Statuario Quartz for contrast and Meir Champagne tapware to tie into the warm tones. Soothing green tones were also used throughout the first floor, mostly in the form of feature kit-kat mosaic tiles.
FINAL RESULT
We are so happy with this home, and we are sure that the clients will have many wonderful memories here! The spaces feel more contemporary yet perfectly suit the client's style and furniture. Check out what our clients had to say about working with us:
